Cisco Meraki & WiFi SSID Unicode name

Early I wrote an article, that describe how to add Unicode pictograms to Mikrotik SSID. Now I want to do the same with Cisco Meraki. And it is easy peasy, so, let's go :)

  1. Open this unicode.org
  1. login to Meraki and go to wireless settings

2. Choose a new or available SSID

and paste it into the WiFi name

3. Save settings and verify it :)

4. So, for now, we can observe it. 👽👽👽 Wonderful UNICODE pictograms and funny SSIDs :)

My recommendation is to enable DHCP Enforced Deauth to improve wireless security founded by Meraki. This feature ensures that all clients connecting to a wireless network successfully obtain an IP address from the DHCP server before they are allowed to send or receive any other network traffic.

Utilizing “DHCP Enforced Deauth” helps ensure that only valid, authenticated clients are able to gain access to the network. This can be beneficial for enhancing network security, as it minimizes the risk of unwanted or malicious traffic.

Upon successful receipt of an IP address, the client can then begin transmitting data across the network. If the client fails to successfully obtain an IP address, the Meraki system will automatically disconnect it from the network using a process known as “deauthentication”.
